Is your MPC ONE/serial number linked to the account that you purchased the plug ins on?
If that's not the problem try changing your DNS settings on the MPC itself to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1
I ran into the same problem a few months ago. Customer support was no help.
I just wanna chime in this topic because I had the same issue the other day.
I fell for the black friday fever and bought a Jura Chorus.
(slightly OT: activating plugins only with a ethernet cable - i'm in mpc one - is madness! so convoluted... good thing i still had an ethernet cable from the old days... but still... unplugging the mpc from my system, going near the router, connecting the ethernet.... painful).
went through the activation procedure but i too got the error message 'license status: 8'
so i went on the inMusic support chat (i see many complaints for AKAI support which I understand but i have to admit the chat works preatty well, they always respond with a human operator) - the operator told me to try to set UTC time zone, restart both mpc and router etc... (same ol' s***) - they also told me to reset my preferences which would have been a little painful as i changed a lot so since nothing was working i didn't do that.
After pouring a little of my frustration to the poor guiltless support operator (sorry Max) and letting him know that I think all this was so convoluted and wrong, we agreed on opening a ticket (aaaarrrggghhh) for assistance.
After a couple of day i still hadn't got no answer so I tried and reach support out again via chat. They told me they would reply via email before the day was over, and they actually did: after maybe 10-15 minutes I got an email from AKAI support and they told me what Delphinus wrote: to change DNS address to 8.8.8.8 (preferences > ethernet > set addres method to MANUAL > DNS).
They also sincerely apologized for the inconvenience which i guess i appreciated...
anyways, this method worked for me.
cheers!
