This is what I Dont Understand. How come you guys don't upgrade firmwares using the USB Method? This way, You'll ALWAYS have every version of Firmware tucked away neatly in an Update folder on your Computer/Mac. I can roll ALL the way back to 2.3 at the drop of a Dime

Same here. I bought mine when 2.5 or 2.6 had just came out, and mine had 2.4 installed on it. Grabbed 2.4 just in case, and still have all the updates from there to the current one. Thank god too, I'm done with this 2.11 crap (and Akai at this point) and just going back to 2.10 where I can turn off the annoying pad perform. The whole last bunch of updates brought absolutely nothing for me except maybe the tuner plugin. I'll just keep doing it like I've been doing it and playing a tone generator along side the MPC to figuring out tuning. Would've just stuck with Logic or Cubase if I knew they were planning on turning the MPC into a half assed jack of all trades DAW that can't even keep its shit together from one update to the next.

im on win 11

Akai are aware of the bug and a fix is incoming. That said, if you're using 2.11.5 MPC Software on your computer and can load/play MP3's, you've won the lottery it would appear.

My ticket with Akai support on this issue has been "Resolved..."

The response I received was "[Akai] are actively working on getting this update out."

There was no ETA on a beta or public release of this update as of this message.

Nothing more obnoxious when a company sets their support tickets as 'resolved' when they clearly are not resolved. It should be up to the customer to decide if a matter is resolved, or at least 'if we don't hear back from you in 5 days, we'll close this ticket'.

That said, you did at least get a response, which is always a bonus :)

Well, customer support is usually not tech support, who are usually not the developers. There is only so much info given out to the low rung of the totem pole, and when the developers have no clue when they might be able to track down, and actually fix a bug without breaking everything else is up in the air. There is no set time for bug hunting and resolution, it happens when it happens. Why would customer support be telling people 'Oh sure it will be out on this date' when that date may not come to pass or they could run into another issue while fixing one thing that pushes the whole thing back. At that point all you've got are customers whining 'BUT YOU PROMISED US THIS DATE'. That's not how software development works or a help desk hierarchy. The customer service folks will have a release date, when the developers post one they can publicly announce, plain and simple. They're not privy to ANYTHING going on in the background trust me.

That said, their support response time is atrocious. Akai ain't winning any customer service awards with that shit. At my work, you got 48 hours or you're not going to be working there for very long. And the ticket system WILL remind you every 48 hours to keep following up or your boss gets a nice big notice that you aren't doing your job. Im above that level of support and while we get a lot of freedom, we still get the same type of notices and my boss is watching us like a hawk to make sure we're not sitting around doing nothing. The tickets I work are anywhere from 3-5 weeks old at any one time because I'm tracking and following up on everything that happens. The fun part is waiting for replacement units to get delivered and checking tracking every day, and then having to hound the customer for another month to remind them 'Umm hey you need to send us back that 75" panel we replaced last month'.

I wonder what's the reasoning for having 2.7 easily available and not having 2.11.4 easily available?

That's bass ackwards.
