on a scope so you can see how much is an acceptable amount of trim. (where the majority of signal peaks and what peaks need toning down)

See the pink line? that's the limiter threshold and any peaks under that -10.81 threshold set in the image will be removed from output signal. A useful and insightful plugin nay? and here's the mpc offerings:

I see. you get to see 1) the time series + 2) each track individually to really understand what the F is going on

my experience with the MPC air limiter: smash everything with the gain on the master, usually my subs/deeper kicks have to be turned down they distort first = my track gets louder :nod:

Yep, that's a problem as well. it's really hard to see how all the layers saturate the output signal at any given time with only a meter. For instance on reaper you could just toss a spectrum analyzer on the master, then use it for reference while gain staging, eqing, compression, just overall making sure all the tracks and master are within bounds for what we perceive as a good mix.

hello guys.... this post is very interesting... I tried to follow and implement what Conan says in his videos but I have to be honest... the final product does not reflect the quality that I can obtain in daw... surely I am not capable on mpc but the machine today still has many limits for this kind of work in mix and master

Of course it doesn't because that's not its main focus, not its sole purpose AND its a lil old cpu. To expect that quality is not realistic.

I am a total newb on this.

Would the new softube flow studio be useful for mastering with the mpc live?

I saw it on the Sanjay C. youtube and it looked useful.
