Seems like it yeah. Screw placement is weird. Some buttons are copy and pasted.

A row of Clip firing makes it longer and a bit wider.

I will adjust my studio for this. Add Expressive Chords with spread and the Push 3 Standalone is on Ebay.

Good catch SINIK

if they get it right then my push 3 SA will also have to leave.
i really liked the form factor of the X – hope they dont ditch the F buttons below the screen.

Aren't the X & L1/L2 pads different sizes?
If they are or not, Akai can new the model however they think will best for that device. They combine the gen X the Force/APC64 or something more original or just a bigger version of the L3 pads or....

64 pads is for Force, not mpc, phucc all dat noise. 16 pads with quadrants just like Live, they wont break that precedent. When Force is updated you’ll get what you want, more Force.

What I do wonder is about One’s smaller pads, smaller quadrants is gonna be a struggle for people with large hands I’m guessing.

Force and Keys REALLY need an X tilt screen style, you wanna keep customers, then stop breaking their necks and backs.

No, they are the exact same pads.

One and Key are the same smaller pads.

you can bet on that.

im also pretty sure that the buttons (rubber) will be the same as on the live 3.

:smh:
No they are not rubber. The X, Ren, MPC1000, 60/3000 all have hard plastic Transport buttons. Expect the same.

I’d welcome the rubber buttons, same as Key. Soft rubber and solid click underneath. IMO, the Key61 rubber buttons are perfection.

Those 64 pads is the shit, esp now with the clip-matrix & it can double as 4 octave piano or 64 faders when used as pad macros. It would also take away the need to have the 16 top buttons as the Force already can be used a 64 step-seq, They would probably have to add another 8 function buttons the Force has only 8. But if they wanna keep the 16 pads, at least make them bigger to better accommodate the 64 sections.

Now, if they're gonna make a new Force after this new X, then I don't care about how they do the pads, as someone they has MPCs & the Force, I ain't going back to 16 pads Pucc that noise!

Akai survived the chip shortage & still made/released new MPCs during a global pandemic, so I doubt they could release a new Force & now would be even better as more MPC user love the Force features even tho most don't even now it.

Good point about the the smaller pads on the ONE & how they're gonna put 64 sections on them. Good luck with that "Roland gear for men with little hands" shit with Akai users. They may make the MPC work with the APC's since WHY The PUCC NOT now that the gen1 MPCs got the Pro-Pack/Clip matrix - That gotta be part of the plan.

Oh yeah, the new Force & Keys better have a tilt screen! :x

The MPC Live 3 MPCe pads have a roughly 5x5 "grid" feel to me... maybe I'll get a bit more articulation feel out of it with practice...

I'd imagine an MPC One++ or whatever they'd call it will feel a *bit* more constrained, but even a 3x3 or 4x4'ish feel, where you can play the center or the sides should be fine. My only concern would be trigger two pads at once... but I'm not even sure how real that would be for a concern.

Either way, folks will get a bit more articulation out of their pads with the update, and that should relate to being able to make grooves with a bit more feeling/movement to them.

I wonder how they Incorporate the MPCe Quadrant Pads on a MPC ONE mk2? Fingers will have to be tiny lol

obviously bigger pads and bigger device; the live 3 is bigger than the previous gens, and it seems the new X is due to be bigger than the og X
