Black Friday release, just like "Eclipse", was a rumor from Guitar Center. I hope nobody was holding his breath.
However, I do hope Akai will get it out soon; hype will not last long, and people are buying stuff for Xmas (as well as blowing cash on Black Friday deals) already, and soon, they'll be broke. Now'd be the time.

My best guess is they'll take their time and present it all at NAMM.

I'm guessing they will announce it at NAMM as well. Black Friday makes no sense when it exists specifically to move old stock to meet a yearly sales deadline. So it would make no sense to introduce a new product today. However they could introduce it in December and move a lot of units for the holidays if they're ready to ship.

Yeah, might be a good move to introduce it in Dec, present it properly at NAMM and then have it in shops right away. Would be another great chance to benefit from the exposure.

A jazz musician once told me when your surrounded by lame people, leave. They won't get you anywhere.

Yeah right and when the Eclipse/Legacy and Live drops you are going to be the one to say that you knew it all along.. :Sigh:

A true fan would go back and read my posts.

Now back to finding the file path I posted a while back here...

Good to keep in mind, everybody, that the reason we were even discussing Black Friday in terms of possible new MPC release is because somebody at Guitar Center said that. Same goes for that "Eclipse" silliness.
Rumors are always just that: rumors. And they spread quick and then ppl start repeating them.
Can't keep somebody working for GC in very high regard in terms of trustworthiness.
I'll believe it when I see it.

LMAO

:Sigh:

Let's put it this way; it'll be the only game in town that takes advantage of today's powerful processing and huge memory, in a standalone. I don't count the Toraiz. Personally, I liked the Touch interface, and I have high hopes for this one.

Right now, I do almost all my beats in an OP-1, just because the mobility is key for me.
