Design is, of course a very personal thing, but for me.... I would have liked black metal (no shiny plastic fingerprint scratchy crap) with maybe a dark gunmetal grey where the white is. That along with walnut side panels and I'd be happy

The above example looks really nice but is a little "too black" hence my gunmetal grey idea. Yes I know you can skin these with whatever you like but I don't like sticking transfers on my equipment, I'd rather have it done properly.
The buttons is a wait and see for me. I've never seen the Key61 so don't know what they are like to use. My initial response is that I would have preferred the transport butoons at least to have stayed traditional to the old X.
I think the Q-Links and OLED's look much nicer horizontally, though actual use....we will see. The kickstand on the screen looks even smaller than the X, I was hoping for something MUCH more solid on the new model. Hopefully the screen housing is now metal (though I doubt it)
I think a good choice would have been to use one of these newer wider ratio screens you see these days, something like a 21:9 or something, then the back end of the MPC could just be a fold up screen and show all the track and mixer layout on a really wide canvas.
.....still hoping for monitor out and mouse support

hopefully the MPC XL+ will have them in 2032
