A new MPC X (ACVC) has been registered with the FCC.

Nah... it's at least *pretty* easy to guess at an XL around the corner... a variant of the One+ dropping... and we still got the Keys to be updated.

The only two things I can only speculate on would be a Force v2 (possible... but... I think we've seen the evolution into the new MPC Line with Pro Pack)... and an MPC Mini... which if it became a thing I could go either way with... a traditional screen would be too big... using an external display like your phone is annoying (see OP-Z)... and a tiny display such as the MPC 500... also annoying.

So I think the XL is clearly coming rapidly... and what's next... we'll just have to wait for. Every major release does seem to upset the prices of previously released hardware in general though... so *fingers crossed* for those who are holding out for the price dips on Reverb/Ebay/etc...

One could easily argue that the Live 3 literally is a Force "mini" (though "mini" is clearly subjective).. The pads are segmented into 64 sections and clearly have separate sensors, so...

I was ultimately proven correct on 3.0; the mini if it comes will look as described by the dude who orginally started rumour think of live meets mpc500

With Live3 I thought there would be more interested in this new major feature. Is there anyone around known to for using the MPCe pads to make some new type of music?

what makes u think the point of the pads is to make a new type of music? the pads are a tool, the pads feel less rigid and more responsive.

The new pads allow more performance options and that is beneficial in of itself
