What's so confusing about my question? Can we preview loops from the sample browser in sync with the sequence tempo or not?

For those of you who own the Ren, Studio, or Touch- how does sample browsing work now? :roll: :?:



Sample plays at it's original tempo when previewed from the browser.

Thanks kaydigi. Maybe Akai has already addressed this in the latest 2.0 software or are planning to do so in a future update.

IMO 1 preview should be a preview not edited, changed or anything, just a listen to the actual original file. Nothing extra. You wanna do extra then go ahead and load the damn thing.

With that mentality a bunch of features that were added in 2.0 would never have came to fruition.

IMO it should be an optional setting. Let each user decide how they would like to preview their loops. Have you ever used this feature in Cubase, FL Loops, Reason, Sonar, Reaper, Studio One, etc?

Countless producers who take advantage of this priceless feature every day know where I'm coming from. I guess you don't.

LOL, it makes you wonder just how lower you might be able to get that price if they can just drop it so easily like that. These guys don't sell at a loss, so the profit margins much be pretty generous, well, at least for the big box shifters like Sweetwater and guitar center.

So far we've gone from $3000 (I know, B.S. price), $2200, $2000 and now just over $1800 and the thing isn't even released yet.

I have a good feeling one might be able to cop an X for 1500 or less within 6 to 12 months after it drops.

The question is how long are you willing to sit on hands until it drops that low? If you're strapped for cash at the moment the the choice is evident...wait it out. But if you feel you gotta have it now and you have the cash on hand then you have to pay the premium price.

PSSL killed that coupon. I'm gonna bet it's gonna be a while before someone else puts one out that applies to the Live/X.

Funny how we have to guess everything Akai is doing, when THEY are the ones trying to sell US some multi thousand dollar pieces of equipment. KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS INFORMED AKAI, SMH :Sigh: :Sigh: When are you going to learn, its such a joke, this isn't top secret stuff Akai, they act like NI cares what they do, Maschine got their product on point and all shined up, relay every single little thing they are working on to the users. Its an embarrassment that Akai even has competition lol. Akai is like the guy at your job who goes out of his way to make everything difficult for everyone else for no logical reason.

To tell the truth, this is one of those features Ableton had that I miss. Auto sync preview to current project tempo.

Agree option to turn off or on would be cool if they did implement it. No worries either way. Can make do, but it was definitely handy bringing in clip launch samples.

Akai is like one of the last major companies that put the products out there with no rhyme or reason. I love the way that Ableton and Native Instruments do it.... PRODUCT AVAILABLE on THIS DAY that's it.

With the Ren people were harassing Guitar Center and Sam Ash everyday until they popped up.
