What could an MPC X mk II be like?

The MPC's is working against modern Laptop/Desktop with software that can do everything it can do and more.
Have you seen this: http://www.izmar.nl/ This is what Akai Pro should've been doing. The guy who did this, just need to fully map a couple of midi controllers. It would be nice if he could fully map an MPC 2000XL.
