yup it does sound bad;

akai probably should of held off on stems untill the hardware line has been refreshed with a more powerful processor that can actually handle a more intensive alogrithm.

so they took time out of 3.0 development resources to create this low quality stems in standlaone, they would of been better off focusing on 3.0 and then they could of come with stems later down the line, since most people use other software for that anyway, but i guess their marketing team was pushing for the features for mpc to generate aditional revenue.

It does not appear that they have fixed the MMC bug, therefore this verion is a no-go for me.

Efficiency and Quality:
On-device stems are created using the zPlane Stems Efficient algorithm, desktop MPC uses zPlane Stems Pro for highest quality.

Kinda Shitty Algorithm but its bcuz the Hardware is limited. A nice somewhat solution to the Tinny Low quality sound is to Add a Lil Reverb and PARA EQ to the Program or Stem...to give it a "Quality Chop"...

Standalone sounds unapologetically bad ngl. It will probably be most useful for extracting bass lines , drum hits and sample snippets as one shots and such but I don't think I will be using that on an important sample loop. Way too many ghost frequencies lurking in each stem.
Pro on the other side is usable, even on music that was sampled from rotten vhs movies.

People demanding things without *really* knowing what they want.

I'd also wager that it'll be something they want experience with now, when they ultimately come out with a more powerful device that can handle it. The feedback they get on standalone now will likely inform the next generation.

What I was expecting was more that they'd use the higher quality separation, but limit the length of time you could split... I guess this is fine, but it will probably lead to some strange results.

Just after I updated I got a trial version of vocal distortion for ten days, I got it to start trial but I can't download the plug.. anyone else show vocal distortion plug standalone?

it been bundled back in march with 2.14 already... it's not released yet ?

Not standalone.. I'm wondering if it a glitch or something? I never use the software so I've never used it or stems tell today.
