Imagine being at Akai HQ and looking at these people complaining so much but still buy an mpc, why should I even bother to listen to them?
A lot of things people ask are part of the old MPC and everything worked well there right? So why not just use an old MPC?
These new MPC never felt connected beetween the software and the hardware, you can clearly tell who design them was so scared to upset old MPC users so we got this halfbaked product.
I don't check this forum often and when I do it's always the same complaints.
I use my MPC for what it is: a sound source away from a pc. It gives me polyphony and better fx for my Octatrack, that's it. If I want a sampler/main brain I would never look at the new MPC. I even gave up sequencing this shit, I just export stem.

What an absurd logic. So by your token, the users are to blame for AKAI introducing bugs or not fixing their product. As if software tools work perfectly. Tell that to the new users who came to the platform without knowing about the bugs. And no, this forum does not represent the complete AKAI user base, and people do not spend their lives on YouTube, so it is perfectly possible for someone to purchase AKAI gear without knowing about a few bugs.

Look, you go and buy a car. You find something that doesn't work. You go to your neighbor and tell him about it, and he says, "It's your fault". You ask, " how do you mean why?" he says, "it is your fault because you purchased it". Luckily, the market does not work like that.

I am looking to find a way to mute you on this forum. Bye.

You live in the 2025 and you don't check a product before buying when you know companies are just greeady af?
Stay mad and keep praying for your bug fixes while people making money out of you.
Also a forum is to express opinions but you just want everybody be on the same page as you, nice logic.

FTJ has a point...somewhat lol.

The reason for a lot of bugs is bcz Akai adds new features in response to Customer Complaints, which ends up breaking other features in the MPC. Then... they have to fix those new Bugs, while adding another feature, which creates other bugs....so on and so on.
But that's all apart of Evolution. Akai Is doing a Helluva Job in my Opinion!
To appreciate what Akai has done, You should go to your account online and downgrade to like 2.7 or 2.8

Then everyone will see the Strides Akai has made!

this x1000. i ain't touchin 3 again until akai proves that they are no longer drunk in the kitchen.
all this hodgepodge just says "we have no real design vision" .
"it's buggy because we're just trying to give user requests" is a lot of cope ;)

Which a bunch of us have had to do because Akai updates have failed to meet our requirements. But that's fine, nobody is forcing us to use MPC3.x. It's not like when Apple do an OS update and suddenly nothing works until you agree to update.

thanks for letting us know you have no idea about MPCs or how they are used and what they have done for music the past several decades

Thank you for letting me know that you still pretend the new MPC are like the old one.
People should start to treat these for what they are: tools, it's not your wife guys! Be loyal doesn't give you a medal or a trophy.
Old MPC have done a lot back in the day, today they just do less of what your pc is doing for music.
And since I know nothing please tell me what exactly these new MPCs have done for music? New genre? New way of making music? Revolutionary layout?...?

I wasnt talking about the current MPCs. To me, 3.0 is no longer an MPC. Its a half baked daw in a midi controller

The classic MPC workflow added much much more to music then these things ever will.

Exactly! We're in the new MPC section, of course I'm talking about the moder one.

What I don't understand is why people want things they already have on old MPCs. I found ridiculous buying a product(clearly different) spend a bunch of money and wait for features that the old MPCs have it. It makes no sense and it doesn't let the new machine develop in their own way.
Like you might not like 3.0 but honestly till now I didn't know why I bought a new MPC when I could use an old one. It still an halfbaked product who try to be the old gen but at least they're moving in the right direction.

Roger Linne was and is a revolutionary genius, if he wanted to keep things the old way we wouldn't never had your beloved MPC.
Evolution should be embraced.

how is the current MPC no longer and MPC; when it still performs the same sample, chop and sequence functions of the previous mpc's?

nobody is forcing u to user arranger mode; simply ignore it

Some people just want a bicycle or a skateboard. Also, most of them don't go online complaining about how cars are stupid. Oh, wait - we do. Sorry, disregard my post & carry on bitching !
