Akai can release more than 2 units per year if they wanted. This is just a self imposed limit, but if they're following the last release order than the Force & One are next. It would be better if they add one or both of keys types of the other 2 units. Or they could release all the keys types (37, 61 & maybe a 88) together later. This would allow keyboard players to decide upfront which is best for them with out having to buy one now & then exchange it later.

key37 was more popular than key61 in terms of sales,
so I expect in 2027 key37 next gen will drop first, than later that year they will drop key61 next gen.

many keyboard players may get both, as they may want portable keys for on the the road, and also want a full size keybed for in studio

u say akai can relase more than 2 units per year, thats ur opinion, but historically if we look at akai's previous release behaviour, it shows that 2 units per year is typical of them.

So better to base speculation on past akai behaviour rather than our own personal opinion.

Normally Akai drops some teaser videos of the upcoming release but nothing “official” so far..

i dont recall them doing this for the live3. we had the usual BS troll "leaked" photos from a couple random sites and the guitar center photo...

MPC XL overall looks good , only hang up is the warping algorithm.

$3,000 is a lot for a device with average /below average warp quality. ….

I hope warping has improved over the version released with the Live III. The Live III warping has improved greatly over the Gen 1 models , but it’s still just okay.

Do you have a Live 3? I find the Super algorithm to sound excellent compared to previous versions - perfectly usable for live warping +/- 30 BPM.

I don't have L3 but the Super Warp seemed like a it was a major step up from videos I've seen. It may not meet your high standards, but for I & most people planned to it's good enough & they will keep improving it over time & the XL is even more powerful than the L3. This is a non-issue for me.

Anyone else think the super warp is just OK?

I still can hear degraded sound on super algorithm. Tried a whole bunch of warping in the following
