Not yet! Play around on it. Pre-Ordered however the shipping dates keep changing. Back to chopping.

I was wondering because I'm curious about the new firmware. I thought it would be released already.

What’s your thoughts on the pad size?

I can't see the pad size being an issue, your muscle memory adapts very quickly in my experience. The pads on the Force are even smaller and I don't have any issues now, I did at first but it only took a couple of weeks to tighten up my technique for the smaller pads. But the rewards are greater with the Force as you get to play around with 64 pads, much more flexible, loving it.

My guess is they will release something, around the time that the MPC one ships.

Plants can also be sampled without clearance. I utilize this secret tool to come up with the most eco frendly arps I can ever need for.

I kinda want this now.. Although I suspect it's really just a specialized "wind chime" type thing with a midi out.
My cat lets me sample his political rantings.. but he's very hard to understand due to his thick cat accent.

There was no issue with the pads, it took me a couple minutes to visually adjust. They're the size of large, arcade buttons on a Street Fighter cabinet. The one thing I will have to adjust, is my playing angle. This is due to the flat, 2 inch low profile of the machine.
I play on a MPC 4000 everyday 8+ hours a day, and as you know it's not a tiny machine. However for the time I did play on the MPC ONE, I did not feel cramped at all. The other things I will have to adjust to, is the height and locations, of the MAIN knob.

Cool breakdown, I’ll most likely get one to replace my touch. I wish they would put the volume on the face, reaching behind the unit for the volume pot is tiresome.

One (hahah, pun) thing I do like about the new MPC One is how the pads now have top facing edge lit pads, similar to how the old M-Audio Trigger Finger Pro pads were. I really like this pad lighting over the existing Live and X:

Yes, that way Akai could have any bug/feedback of 2.8 from MPC One users as well

Yo Charles those One Pads are the same size as the LPD8 and I have no problem with them. As a matter of fact the LPD8 Pads feel really nice. You never heard me complain about them. If people are worried about the pads they need not worry. Heck I have made a lot of drum tracks with the LPD8 pad than with the MPC Live pads lol
Ain't that a Bisch! LOL
