With 2.7 is out of the way, what do you think 2.8 should be?

nope. I’m saying that keygroups are better than the synths currently on the live.... I’d rather load a preset then take a **** week making a childish version of a sound.
With more sampling features the sampler becomes a synth in itself. Able to edit every aspect, but yea. Digital samplers are just rompers.
I can see why Charles trolls you. You have some indignation, and a need to “prove” your point because some us vs them mentality.

Hype Is a HUGE step up from the three on the mpc, but yea. Just a rompler, a preset machine.

-Charles the air effects are alright but they seem to smeer everything into the same soundscape as the live. You might be able to dial them in but a solid mixer and multi effects pedal is just so much better for the work flow.
If the only option is making music on the live or x, then yes they are more than sufficient but not ideal, to me.

I agree, I don't even use them. I did when I was on PROTOOL back in the day. They are still very much usable, even if they are not my weapon of choice.

If or When disk streaming happens, it will definitely up the quality of Multi Sampled MPC Expansion.

I'd like:

• Browser sorting (I'm always most interested in my latest sounds/samples)
• Automation for return FX
• PDC

My APOLOGY for my part in this Tutor. I will do more to curve my snap-backs. Now as far as 2.8 is concerned, what do you see that can be added, fixed, or removed?

I don't agree at all.
I actually think Air made a sort of miracle in giving us their bundle with such limited ram.
Eq and compressors are very good and much better then Akai ones.
Reverb is much better then what I thought it was possible.
Delays are ok, but I still use Akai ones which are very good so it's ok.
Trance gate is beautiful if you take time to edit it.
Phasers and frequency shifter are top class.
The only thing I could say is to edit them and chain them and so you have all you need and you can reach a very good sound.
As I said before, if we want more complicated effects like granular or stutter, we need a more powerful cpu.
But you can obtain something similar chaining the Air effects so for me it's still ok.
And also Air synths are good, same as fx, you just need to edit them and know what you are doing.
I really don't get the complains about them.
You have everything you need at a professional level, because Air effects were used on Protools for many years in countless records.
So just lose time with them, experiment with different combinations and there you go.

I don’t use the software at all. 100% standalone. I’d like Hype for sure. And yes, I agree - I don’t find the other instruments that inspiring. I’ve used them a couple times, only to lay ideas. Then replace them when I transfer to my DAW.

Totally agree, though admittedly - I spent some time on Splice last night adding some fantastic content to my Live. Just wish Hype was at least an option in standalone. I've got a 1 TB SSD and plenty of room to store a rompler to stream from.

Yeah having the option to install on and internal would be cool

LOL I want the ability to send support email exchanges to that person's boss and simultaneously post them here in a dedicated thread, directly from hardware or the software, I don't care.
