What Vintage Synth Emulations Should Akai Add Next?

I have Cheery Audio's version and it imitates the cables running from point to point, but if the interface is split across multiple screens, I can't see that working. A matrix style would need about 40x40, which wouldn't fit a screen.

Not sure how you would do it and make it clear, unless you didn't and just had drop down list of available options, then highlight it's been patched.

83 patchable input and outputs, well damn! The MIDI editor has 8 pages of 16 knobs, so may something like that, but with touch & connect/disconnect mode that stays active across pages. Almost like a MIDI-Learn mode where, when it's active the source will connect to other ports just by touching & disconnecting by retouching it. Maybe they can give us a custom pages like the Project macros where we can move the parameter to there that we'll being the most. I hope this makes sense.

anyway, the screenshot I've linked, amongs well known synths, shows several new synth names:

MPC: Juniper

this potentially could refer to vst counterparts, some legacy templates/libraries or...

I can see that working. Select Patch option, all the outputs highlight, press on on and all the inputs highlight, press on one. Then the in and out change colour, to show its patched. As it's semi modular, you'd probably need a max of 12 patch cables, so 12 colours.

Pressing on a patch could also show a message box saying where it's routed, Keep Connection Yes/No option.

Yeah! That's what we came up with just messing around, but imagine them taking this & adding their professional know-how.

A6 Andromeda, no doubt, there's so many emulations of cs80/moogs/jupiters etc. but like the sound of it or not - A6 is unique in it's own rights.
Anyway, as Neodymium wrote, it seems to refer to either Soundpaints Juniper library either to Puremagnetiks Juniper library or any other with this name. Soundpaints Juniper v2 weight almost 47gigs so I doubt that when it comes to N.I style collaboration, it will be a 1:1 port of their instrument lol. One is almost certain, if there's another collaboration in the works, it most likely will be sample based Fabric-esque instrument. They already have their engine sorted with ability to script it internally (by the looks of it) so, those will be the types of collabs in the future imho.

I don't know much about the A6, but I'll look it up. Since inMusic owns Moog maybe they'll make more emulations. Since we have the Mini-D & the Jura already I would prefer the ProV or anything more unique than another thing from Moog & Roland. Time will tell...

That would be a useful plugin tbh i find myself resampling hypes brass sounds and layering them and adding reverbs and eqing them till i get something that honks with power. If i were to make a song with just the available brass patches in the existing synths i'd end up with a song that sounds like a series of melodic farts heh. hmm i might be on to something with that..
