Exactly! That's why lm not bashing Akai. Im letting them get it right.

After that epic fail with the 5000 they don't want to mess this up. Just Blaze put them on blast kinda hurt them.
This is their one time to come back.

Actually, it translates as "strange-beast" , I got a collection of Godzilla/Gamera/Ultraman merch from Japan. I can sell a 3 inch figure easy for $60.00. And the bigger the figure, bigger my pockets :-D last month I made $600.00 off five 8 inch figures. Godzilla always puts food on my table that giant bastard.

Yeah man…that, and Ren / 1.0…it's time they get some really good praise.
They can't afford yet another case of half-baked product and tons of critism…they *need* to nail it now.

Right! Forgot, but then it'll have to be Daikaiju to mean Giant monster.

I try to find words within words to understand japanese. Like kaiju, Kai would mean god or supernatural and Ju would mean beast, so thats why I say strange beast :-D

OT: While in college, I managed to acquire quite the Godzilla toy collection, which was worth some bucks (this was back in the '80's, when they were even harder to get hold of outside of Japan). Unfortunately, a good number of them went missing after a rather ... erm ... "interesting" weekend. Luckily I had given my nephews a bunch of them and figured I could get them back from them. Unluckily, the oldest had figured out they were worth something and sold the lot of them. Argh!

Really looking forward to having the MPC Live in my claws soon ...

Here's a thought. I was all in on the x, I have some modular, plan on getting the digitakt, etc. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get my hands on a mpc live soon. My thoughts are you could get a live and digitakt for the price of a x. The x would be more ideal as I have lots of hardware effects and instruments it can program, but do we really need all that? i may keep the live, all three, or whatever but I'd like other people's thoughts. I really like the idea of sitting outside working on music, laying in bed, etc. none of this is able to be done on anything but the live without running cords, extensions for outside.

Finna have godzuki on running on midi too bro. I love the 4000 but never even got close to using its full potential. It's the main reason I'm asking.... x seems like an updated 4000, something I've been praying for...

You right, plus X and Live are the same OS so the only thing Live users are missing out is CV control, more outs, more buttons and knobs. I already preordered both with that same thought.

I guess it's all in the Ui. I mean if it's touch screen, it's something brand new and I don't need any buttons or knobs to navigate my phone or iPad. The ins and outs could be settled with a small mixer and besides having a better sound card I can see myself dropping my x preorder. At my limits for music gear, this damn situation with akai turned me into a monster.... lol. Maybe that was the intention. I mean if my 4000 could mesh well with the daws we wouldn't be having this discussion. The digitakt thou is right up my ally. Reminds me of a simplified asr with a crazy sequencer or other vintage gear. I loved those machines but man if that tech ain't as old as dirt. Mpc 4000, asr-10 keys, Roland sp and a kaoss pad.... many a nights just vibin to my own ish.

The Digitakt is crazy, Elektron says there is no slice function but I see you can chop rapidly when done manually with the knobs and copy samples at sections within the sample, its crazy to explain but I understand it. Thats why I want one. I already know what to expect from the MPC Live, its gonna be interesting jumping from one machine to another :mrgreen:

Wikipedia says strange beast.

My in-laws say giant monster. Daikaiju then would be great strange beast or a larger strange beast/giant monster.

Beat thang was neither :lol:

X > Live > Digitakt is how I see it in my head.
