Right bro.
Do you ever not take short cuts to thinking?

Listening to the customer is always hit and miss. There's features they ask for that are already there. But they don't spend enough time on the machine to learn how to do it. We all have preferences and for Akai Pro to push this Ableton live support it's a win/win.

Because it keeps the machine relevant for everyone. Which means more updates for everyone. Now, if you don't use A.L. then just keep making music the way you do now. As far people submitting idea, those are always optional not mandatory. Personally, I buy gear as tools to make music, not beta test and report bugs.

I don't buy based on what I think it will do, but only what it can do. Also, I don't buy demanding them to make something I want in particular. Making hardware is tough and making software is tough. Now marrying the two is even tougher.

You mean so tough, that they can't continue making a good daw themself, or fixing bugs? Mhh ok

Let's outsource it and make some money, Dear beginner costumers, don't forget to read many many manuals from different daw's, to find out what you need or not inside this mixed machine...

The MPC software is 10 year behind everyone else. They had the opportunity with the Ak Sys, for the MPC 4000/Z8/Z4 and the DPS 24 ak Sys Track View in 2002. However, they did not continue to push in that directions once they were bought.

Creating a Software DAW is no easy task and getting people to adopt that DAW is even harder.

Ignoring so many costumer ideas is a new kind of art, to bring out a 180 degree different way of going into the future is really impressive.

Don't get me wrong, but the most criticism comes from people, who really love the live & X, they put a lot of effort into sending ideas and bugfix-lists, and this is the result after what, 6 month?

Have a look into the comments below their 2.7 video and tell me what you see (until comments are open)..

Same in nearly all bigger mpc fb groups, 90% are not happy, are they all wrong?

Is that just your unit or is anyone else experiences that?

Maybe they're not ignoring but it's later in their timeline. We can send things, but Akai does have there own internal agenda.

This update was strictly for Ableton, I'm sure some of the ideas will be implemented. But I'm not with Akai Pro so I can't say what they will do.

They are not wrong or right, it's just their opinion. Most of it is just noise, because people wants social attention. Those post must be taken, with a grain of salt. Now if this updates, formatted the hard drive and cause a person to lose all their music. That would be something to complain about.

Why not put advertisement into the machine? Click the banner to continue making a beat...

The biggest problem and what a few people will not see is the subliminal marketing and offering aspect in this story, interesting...

I'm not sure what this has to do with the updates? Has it limited your ability to create? Because, I read the white sheet, which state the bug fixes as well. Page 12 Stability and reliability.

To much ableton stuff to read over, sorry... I have seen it and scrolled down, but you see, it's more and more time i have to spend to devide useful and not useful for me as a non ableton user, what's next, ableton only fixes and updates in the forthcoming lists?

And please answer what you have seen in the comments below the 2.7 video.

This is the new way of political thinking, make everything for a minority instead of majority. No wonder, the daw guys have their company in the sh*thole Berlin, where minority rules everything...

Why do you care about Youtube comments? Form your own opinion and create your own workflow. Use it or don't, but all the complaining won't improve your music. Honestly it shows, that you lack confidence in your ability to evolve.

You may not like it, but they've improved the machine. And like I asked before, how does this update stop YOU, from creating music.

I was always confident this would drop before the new year. The partnership with Ableton is good for everyone in the long term.

All these people with their "hot takes" are being ridiculous and short sighted. People complaining that just bought the unit :Sigh: I've had mine since launch, before all the goodies and workflow stuff they've since added. 4 updates this year. There are bug fixes in this release too.

All y'all acting like you know how this ends need to stfu :fku: I'll concede that this update didn't not focus on user requests, but I'm confident the next one will. They addressed user requests many time during the development so why would they stop now? :smoker:

You know how it goes, wack dudes will always find something to complain about. Drop the ball, they blame the glove. Miss the ball, they blame the bat. What they should be complaining about is, how come they have so much gear that collects dust and is only used to keep their desk from flying away.

If I was Akai Pro, I would release 1 update every day for 60 days. Until people start complaining about getting too many updates.

Just move around modes in standalone with menu+pad for an hour and tell me how many glitches you get.
I usually have 3 or 4 of them.
And that's a device called Live, and I bought it to get rid of computer.
But nobody seems to care about that.
Akai for example.
