All depends on a person mind-state. Will analogue processing be like it used to be no, because it's not practical. Truth be told, I don't want to go back to those analogue desk and 24 track tape machines. Cost, Heat, Separate AC room for the power supply, Maintenance, Striping to tape, Syncing issues, Cutting tape, spending $300 to $500 dollar per tape, Making back ups, shipping taping to the mastering house.

Yeah they can keep all of that.

Why l said it? Did you read what l said? ITS FOR THE HOPE THAT OTHERS WHO WANT IT CAN GET IT!

But that's a problem with your pc and Omnisphere with the MPC. Why don't you simply upgrade your pc and change DAW? But more important upgrade your pc.
Yeah but same question applies to others mate.

You maybe reply when I edit the post. I paste my answer here

I didn't get you were talking about others, chill and don't feel cool because you have huge RAM, it's just a stupid RAM.
The same question applies to others mate. I mean they seriously ask disk streaming for the software instead of upgrading their computer? And you even think they make sense?

The hope? They just have to spend a bit of momey an upgrade their pc, instead they want Akai do the job for them because they think they should have everything because they paid something $1000.

I honestly just realise the majority of these people asked that for the desktop.

Most people I know with analog desk, record everything digital at 32bit / 384 or 32bit /192. Then pass the audio back through the console to mix. They record a two track and re-record the stems into another PC.

Disk streaming has nothing to do with computer, sir. It's for standalone.
What the heck, big confusion here.
If you use computer, you use computer resources.
Disk streaming would be for standalone.

Yeah but some people seem to expect disk streaming on their pc. That's why I was like wait a min it doesn't make sense.

You are killin my guts lol
I will never go back to that analogue stuff either. That's why l broke my stu down to where it is today. I have a badass PC, dope Roland 76 key semi weight midi keyboard . 27 inch screen, monitors, MPC live, LPD8 , X-Touch One single fader and a plethora of plugins and 2 DAWs and my talent l was blessed with.

Unfortunately I can't easily track at 192. I might make to much of a problem about it but definitely the less conversion the better and the higher quality the better. It doesn't bother me, honestly I could record on a 24 track tape recorder and enjoy every moment. I hate instead every moment on my DAW

The one thing that gets me about the one is the lack of I/0. I get it and it makes sense.

I really love using a mixer and other units with the live. I know I am in the minority but with audio tracks I just running them through effects. On the one it’s impossible to work like I do.

You can still rock the mixer, 10 synths effects, etc but you can’t process the Mpc audio itself unless you sacrifice the mains. There’s plenty of options and work around but simply sending a sound to an output without changing anything up is pure magic for me.

This!
Anx honestly man I don't really think we're a minority. I see a lot of people with outboard gear or fancy reverb pedals, it's actually something a lot of people will enjoy.
The Behringer x32 sold so well, it's digital of course but it show how people want to route directly to hardware.
That's why I want an X and a class complaint audio interface.

You're right about disk streaming to standalone but you can also have it with a computer. Take away the MPC and you're using say Eastwest Orchestral stuff, you would be dealing with ram or that hard drive.

People are asking for it in the standalone.

If l never had the Live the One would be perfect for me. Being l just do drums. And l don't need a bunch of outs, because l export my drums and import them into my DAW. The pads wouldn't bother me because they are the same size as the LPD8 and l rock those. As long as tge sequencer is tight me and the One could roll. I didn't put a hard drive in live.

It seems the idea of the MPC One, was to give people a little bit of everything. What mixer are you using?

Mpc Live metering (and I guess also One) is also a bit strange. I just touch the red slightly on Mpc but I use Mpc differently then you. I connect it to a mixer and then the mixer in firewire to computer when I want to record.
So your -6 makes no sense for me. When all goes into studio1 to record, is still low even at unity level on the mixer.
But that was not the point.
I was talking about the quality of the output in One, the question was about the output stage, converters, impedance and so on.
My question was if One has exactly same specs of the output and so if it does sound the same.

Wait a sec a miss something here. If your MPC is at unity gain on your mixer how is that low when you record? I mean your mixer show the signal at unity gain before it goes in StudioOne, how this is related to the output of your MPC and not about your mixer?

On the manual they don't look the same.
Live main output
113db
THD+N 0.002%
Max out +9dbu
Sensitivity 51

Live additional output
116db
THD+N 0.001%
Max out +9dbu
Sensitivity 51

One output
113db
THD+N 0.003%
Max out +9dbu
Sensitivity 12

For the input
Live
113.5db
SNR 108db
THD+ 0.001%
Max input +11dbu
Sensitivity - 13.5dbu
Gain range 24.5dbu

Instead the One
111db
SNR 111db
THD+ 0.001%
Max input +16dbu
Sensitivity - 13.5dbu
Gain range 29.5db

So mainly they're the same apart the low impedance for the output of the One(I don't like this). But the input has a bigger headroom than the Live. Still both way less hotter than the X.

Hope this help.

Yeah good thanks.
Actually the final sound is a result of mpc + mixer. I noticed Mpc Live can be used at maximum level without any audible distortion and also with half of the gain of mixer.
When it's at unity level on the mixer, it's at about -12 on studio1.
I guess Mackie choose to send it this way through firewire, to give headroom when recording.
I like this, I track out 6 outputs plus 2 outputs of Mc101 so I can still make a mixing after I record all in real time as a live.
