If you don't think Pro Tools is awesome, it's because you've never actually used an full spec'ed Avid Pro Tools HDX system.
In 3 years, they'll call the MPC LIVE/X warm and a classic.
Danoc wrote:LMAO LOLlet me be honest. I can't stand Avid and l will never buy PT again. But dammit the HDX system is terribly DOPE! Even when the HD system was out it was dope. That Le series and how Avid treated us was wack. When you have a system that doesn't tax your computer and you can throw as many plugins at it that you want you are covered. Certified PT engineers be killing it with that.
LOL man the X/Live is as transparent as Casper the friendly ghost![]()

CharlesRandolph wrote:Well it was LE.and I'm sure they were tired of supporting older systems. Let's not forget, that it was Apple that forced most of that gear to junk piles. The full system with dedicate controllers and I/O is still very much relevant, in movie, television, videos games, and the audio side of things.
Sure there are many different plug in and software DAWS out there. But if you take your project to another space, and they don't have the same Software DAW, Instruments, or Plug. It can really hurt things. As you know that's why we work with stems.
Truly this is the wall, that is hurting the MPC Software and Hardware. I remember a time when every home, project, major studio had a MPC. Now that's no longer the case. Everything is fragmented, which is why Akai integrated Ableton, simply due to their user adoptions rate.
Ableton, Logic, Pro Tools, and Cubase, are the big 4 with FL Studio a distant 5th. So if I'm Akai Pro, I'm going to integrate with one of them. Studio One, Reason, Reaper, DP and Bitwig are behind and not worth the dev time.Danoc wrote:LMAO LOLlet me be honest. I can't stand Avid and l will never buy PT again. CharlesRandolph wrote:Again, you don't know how I spend my time or what gear I use. Also I take reviews with a grain of salt. Because most of the reviews, do not actually use the plug in in real world applications and over a significant amount of time. I listen to my ears and other professional who actually uses the gear, not talk about it.

You are talking about personal preference, I'm talking about USER Adoptions rates. (Numbers not Opinion) Please read again.Off topic:

Also if you use Reason for sounds, Ableton for looper, PT for multi-track. Why get a MPC LIVE when those 3 programs cover all your needs?

Well that's all that's important.Frisbi wrote:Don't take it as an offence, I always read your posts and your suggestions, I have really nothing against you but sometimes it's very hard to accept you when you put yourself as a universal judge. I'm not a universal judge and I'm pretty relaxed. It's funny because I talk and joke all the time, but some call it trolling. Also, I talk and network with people on here and they understand what I'm saying. Because they have the same experiences and want to improve and grow. That's the difference in mentality.
Honestly this is why some people make it a living and some people don't. It's about living it.
Frisbi wrote:Oh come on man, I am 46, I know these things, sometimes I can also be like you but then I put an end to it.
Sometimes is tiring for a lot of people.
So I stop it.
It's better to be friendly and laugh about yourself.
Just a suggestion.
Of course you do what you want, man.

It's a mentality and it can't be turned on and off. Perhaps, this is your hobby so your way of thinking is more relaxed. I have mentors who are +60 and if you think I'm direct, don't talk to them. Also what makes you think I'm not having fun?
Nevertheless let's get back to the talking about 2.8 like we promised Tutor.
In 2.8 it should fully support USB audio interfaces like Quick Strike discovered.
