A long while back we saw Key61 and Force kybd diagrams.
The Key61 became real, I wonder what happened to that Force Keyboard.
Will it ever become “real” and do yall think it’s something Force peeps would want?

Also, that space between controls and keys……

I remember seeing the Key61 diagram and instantly thinking “I want it”.

And there IS room on Key61 for q-links, retractable tilt screen would also make a HUGE difference (no neck/back pain after prolonged screen editing).

The Force is still better designed for 3.0 than the L3, IMO. This new X will be big step up as it'll akai will kinda be forced into making more Force-like, where as the L3 they made more compromises due to lack of space the X & Force has.

We already have 64 pads for chops with 4 banks of 16 pads, and now with Live 3 we have the 64 sounds on one bank if needed.

so the force style pads have been made obsolete by the new quadrant pad innovation

Both Force and Live 3 cater to 3.x equally well, having those 64 little pads does not equate to a device making better use of the new software.

I had a typo in the first sentence, but like I was trying to say, if never used the Force heavily then you cant understand how beneficial those 64 independent pads. The rest of what said only proved my point.

I would want my keys separate many different reasons, so I'm out. It also doesn't have the 8x8 pad setup it would be using a MPC500 after using any MPC with 16 pads. This may not matter to some, but I used the pads in a way that 12 pads wouldn't messed up. Don't even get me started on the lack of a tilt screen. This was an old design/prototype, so hopefully they made improvements - I still wouldn't want it, but I think many people would love it.

Out of all new devices which are referenced in the firmware (ACVA3 / ACVR2 / ACVM2 / ACVK / ACVC) , only ACVK (Force6) and 'new' X (ACVC) have the 'Open ACVx Hardware Emulation Window' function implemented.
I suppose one could go through all supporting ".so" files looking for clues but I guess it's not worth the effort.

what is the significance of the Open ACVx Hardware Emulation Window function being implemented?

also u did not mention the ACVG having this feature? why would the new Live 3 be excluded from this?

Those 16 pads with 4 quadrants can in no way offer the same functionality as those 64 pads can. But I’m starting to think Akai won’t give us force users a new Force and will force us one of those new Mpcs if we want to upgrade. (Pun intended)

by 'new' I meant unreleased. All those codenames mentioned above are unreleased units.
ACVA = One
ACVA2 = One+
ACVA3 = :nod: :nod: :nod:

ACVR = Key37
ACVR2 = :-D :-D :-D

ACVM = Key61
ACVM2 = :lol: :lol: :lol:

ACVK = Force6
ACVC = Different naming convention to the 'X' (ACV5, ACV5s) so.... whatever this is

Every 'old' (released) unit have that function implemented as well

Emulation window is nothing but API for the software imho or as the name suggest, API for desktop environment (emulation software) that runs the (standalone) firmware without actual hardware but with specific hardwares configuration.

they recently updated the force software, so I see no reason why they wont make a new force

Not only did they upgrade the Force twice this year, they finally put the matrix on the MPC & its being well received, even Marlow Digs switch his stand on using clips, whatever that's worth. A new Force makes more sense now than it did in 2019.

The released booty pic of the this new X, make me they didn't something different to the pads or something. It could nothing or them just teasing us as usual.
