Audio Interface Mode

I have the Live hooked up to my laptop and I am using the Live as my audio interface. This only works in controller mode and audio seems to work fine. But the screen constantly says "Looking for computer". I've left it on for over 10 minutes and the screen dims but seems to stay dimmed. When I had the Touch, the screen would be off if I didn't have the MPC software open and I could leave the Touch wired up for my I/O.

It seems like the sound quality is much better over the Touch as an audio interface.
