Does Akai (or the MPC user base) hate the idea of song mode or something?
I'm fairly new to MPC and the non-linear workflow of song mode is awesome for final arranging. But you can't seem to record audio or make any final arrangement changes you typically want to make at that stage in the process - like adjust the global swing, change the pitch to suit a singer's vocal range (warp), change the tempo and have samples/audio warped.
As someone who's new to MPC, song mode is one of the coolest, fastest things about MPC - having the ability to go back and change anything from a pad to a sequence to the overall arrangement without having to redo anything, is amazing (and totally unique as far as I can tell). Convert to sequence seems to break this flow if you need to then tweak the arrangement (which you always do).
Hence the question, does everyone hate the idea of song mode? I guess I'm confused why it hasn't seen more love (like audio tracks) from Akai or why the accepted practice is to convert to a sequence.
Hope that makes sense, sorry if I've got that all wrong!
Cheers
