Struggling to move project from standalone

I have installed a 240GB SSD on my MPC Live.

I have a project saved on there, however whenever I enter controller mode to start using plugins in the MPC software, my MPC just moves to a blank project based on the software.

How do I move my project from the Live to the software to carry on working?

Likewise, if i start a project from scratch in controller mode, how do I get this back into Live? I've bounced plugin tracks to audio already but where do I save it to open it on Live?

Save it, then re-open once in controller mode? I assume your computer sees the Live's SSD.

No the laptop doesn't see the mpc drive when it's set in controller mode.

Likewise the project doesn't appear in recently opened etc to load it.

Basically it's like my mpc shuts down the project the moment it enters controller mode, preventing my PC from accessing the project.

I'd happily start projects in the software and then export them to Live but can't seem to figure that out either. I'll watched a couple of Andy Mac videos but they've been edited to cut out the bit where he actually opens the project!

Try this

USB up to the pc
Do not open the mpc software
Access the harddrive once the red screen is on the live.
Double click the xpj/xja you want to open and see if the software automatically opens up.

Thats how l do it and the 2.0 sw opens up exactly what i did in standalone.

In controller mode, my iMac will see the ssd drive and contents. I've moved projects both ways. You have to find he drive in the Browser, and/or map them to the 1/2/3/4/5 buttons.

Don't use the blue cable that came w/ the MPC. It's garbage. Try another. Your PC should DEFINITELY see the Live's SSD. if not, the cable is jacked. This happened to me.

Just to update you all, I have fixed this issue. Turns out that for some reason the drive wasn't assigned a letter when formatted.

If you run the disk management tool on windows and assign a drive letter, it's all good

Im using my MPC Live with windows 7. I dont think it will recognize the live drive at all. I tried disk management and partition tools but it doesnt work. I get a USB Hub error which im guessing is the hard drive for the MPC live. Any work arounds or other methods? Worst case i just save my standalone projects to my SD card and open up in my PC that way.
