Changing BPM of a loop

Hello, trying to change a loop from 128 - 138 without the pitch going out of whack. I understand that this has to be a clip program. I guess a clip program is a program with 2 or more loop files (wavs?).

I tried the time stretch in sample menu and it makes the pitch go whacky. I saw a video as well, but it looks like the guy is chopping samples, which I'm not.

So it seems that you have to do this in the software, but when you save the project, it doesn't work properly in the hardware.

Can I do this in the software and export a wav and then reimport it into the hardware on a USB stick?

What's the easiest and best way to do this?

Timestretch should not alter the pitch. As long as your sample is looped up properly using timestretch should be a pretty straightforward process to achieve what you want.

I agree, SAMPLE EDIT > PROCESS > TIMESTRETCH should work very well for a change from 128 to 138 BPM. There will be no change in pitch. Worse case scenario is you get stretching artefacts, but this should be rare when speeding up a loop only 10BPM. Should work perfectly fine in standalone mode.

Not sure if it affects sample edit stretching, but go to Preferences > Other > Audio Warp Algorithm and change this to Elastique

Thanks, I'll give it another go. Chances are I'm not doing it correctly. I'll check the preferences as well.

I don't have anything in the device that says audio warp algorithm. Unless you were talking the software

Warping algorithm might not be available in standalone mode, I assumed it was as it gives you options for lower CPU usage, but perhaps in standalone, it's all low CPU as standard.

Could you try timestretching it in controller mode to see if the results differ - try the Elastique and MPC options.

It's just MPC algorithm in the Live, it's not switchable like the software.
