Using MPC Live as a controller for Komplete in Ableton

Hi,

Is it possible to set up MPC Live as a MIDI controller for Komplete in Ableton? Or does it always have to be connected to the MPC software when not in standalone mode?

Also, when loading Komplete drum kits in MPC software as a VST, im struggling to map the MPC pads to control the kit VSTs. All I seem to be able to do is use pad performance mode, but not change the midi note for each pad.

Yes. Ableton won't recognize MPC unless in controller mode as a VST. Once you've done so, you can Midi map as needed from Ableton. This my friend is an ass pain and the workflow isn't efficient. I recommend using a midi keyboard or a Push or even your Qwerty.
