From what others have told me the X is solid!
I have the Live and only spent $959 for it. The only two things l don't like is:
1. Not a true transport section, but knew that going in.
2. Power cord, not the stanfard three prong power cord you get like on a MPC 2000XL.
I've had it for almost 3 months and l must say l'm in love with it. AD/DA converters ate on point, vocals are crystal clear, l can only imagine the X converters. Now thst l'm use to the navigation of it its sweet! Internal effects are better than the EB effects given for the 2000XL. In stand alone great features like explode, bounce to audio, latching the note repeat for hand free manipulation, touch screen, various USB options, battery operation etc. Lets not forget the 2.0 software , my first time with it and l love it. It just take things to a whole different level for me. Functions l see I won't use like song mode l like it here. I have the best of both worlds, standalone and computer, l have a beadt on my hands. Thumbs up for the Live!
Hey 64pad you gotta dhow the pic of you and your X mang! lol. Is the X sturdy?
