Anyone else finding the output level kind of weak? I've set it up next my 1k with 1k at the default -12db setting and even with gain fully cranked on the live the 1k is louder with gain set at the 12 o'clock position.

Is there a setting on the hardware to adjust the output?

Hi,

just to be sure - you turned up the hardware volume poti on the back ('master vol'), did ya? And your samples are normalized and played on full level?

My MPC has a really lout output, so if you dialed fully up, there might be an issue...

are you using balanced cables?
balanced patchbay? unbalanced?

let the class know how your machine is setup.

i have the X and live (if i need to connect it) going through a patchbay and into an analog 48 ch desk. i use unbalanced outputs to the patchbay and unbalanced outputs to the desk from the patchbay.

at unity gain, the level of a stock demo project or if I input my own data is fine.

there's more controls on the X over the live to keep things in line.

sorted. a few things I left out...

I was testing the input signal from a shruthi synth. My shruthi has no trim pot - it just comes out at max level. Plugged into my 1k I don't even turn the record level up at all and I get a hot signal. On the live I needed to adjust the record level knob to about 9oclock. I had the volume on the live set at 12olcock - as suggested at the 9oclock position it was actually a little too, loud.
