Hello Everybody

I've got the MPC Live since 2 months by now. There are a few things that i discovered slowing down my workflow. So far, i work mostly in standalone.

1. Q-Link Knobs: They are not really responsive and sometimes don't work at all. For example: while i'm in the effect-section in program mode and want to change the parameters, it's possible that one or two of the parameteres don't react at all. I have to leave the effect section, go back in and try again to make some adjustments.

2. Plug-Ins/iLok: I didn't had any problems installing my MPC Software. But when it comes to activate my Plug-Ins, i get this annoying message: "The activation code XXXX-XXXX... cannot be used. No redemptions ara available.". And yes, i used the separate Air Music Activation Code from my personal account...

3. Losing .xpj Files: I've installed a Toshiba SSD and formatted it to exFAT. I lost like 2-3 beats because the .xpj disappeared. I save the project, shut down the MPC, the next day i get on the MPC, the xpj isn't there any more. The sample-folder and the sequence-files are still in the folder but no .xpj file.

My question to the MPC Live users: Anyone having the same problems with Q-Links being not responsive? Failed installation of the AIR plug-ins? Problems with saving?

Thanks for some help.
Peace

Same situation here with Qlinks guess it's a soft bug...As for the iLok activation you know you can use it only in 2 computers and it's tied with the hardware right?I found iLok to be very limiting and cumbersome..I sold my old MacBook Pro to a friend and forgot to deactivate my licenses..Activated new licenses in my new Mac and on the iLok license manager it was like i've used both of my available licenses..After many emails with AKAI they've told me they'll supply me with a spare licence..Didn't know it'd be such a hassle so in order to do this right i've asked my buddy to bring over my old Mac to deactivate my licenses..A very bad experience with this iLok thing.Better they should find another way..As for the xpj disappearing I think there's an issue with your Disk/Drives and you should contact support for it and the iLok activations..

The Qlinks are touch sensitive knobs, if you tap the top of the knob this tells the software what one of the 16 knobs you want to use. I think since us live users can only have one set of 4 knobs available at one time, if you switch through the pages the last knob you had used is still selected. Just give it a quick tap on top and it will be active.

Or, it could just be broke.....

No issues with links on either the LIVE or X. Especially on the X i can lightly graze a knob and i see it register....

Having major issues with the qlinks! Not sure how I didnt notice this already but after going to the qlink edit mode and returning to other modes the qlinks dont work. I can still use them in qlink edit mode but no longer in any other modes... I have to power cycle the machine to get them back. ****!

EDIT: OK never mind... for them to work properly in program mode, qlink edit mode needs to be set to screen. Some silly noob shit lmao  Truth is I have been playing only drums for weeks in preparation for some shows and only turned my live on last night for the first time in weeks

I once thought the qlinks weren't doing anything and then heard some hard panning even though I was on an fx's edit page with no panning. I went back and the qlinks were on the last page for some reason.
