Latency with Midi-Controller

Hi,

is there any tweak out there to shorten the latency?

If i play any instrument with a keyboard, connected directly via USB, there's a latency about 20ms. That's not quite funky to record with...

What keyboard? In controller mode or standalone?

Arturia Analog Factory Controller (Class Complient, no driver needed) and of course in stand alone mode - so the latency issue is in the MPC....

I'm using a keystep just fine.... the akai midi controller I've used worked like a charm too. You mentioned 20ms of delay, so I thought there might be a computer involved. 20 ms is a lot and I've been using the midi keyboard for a few months with mine just fine. I think I would that amount I would be able to tell it was off like when I have noticed while using vst on ableton. maybe it's a bug on your unit, hopefully if this update drops it will resolve it. Speaking of which did you do the last update?

I have the same problem on MPC Live (firmware 2.0.5), 9.3ms exactly, compared to MPC4000.
I have writing a post for this problem on Akai Community forum, and I'm waiting for answer.

In order for you to hear 9.3 ms it has to be more than that.
I haven't encountered what you guys are saying. Yamaha KX61 works fine no latency or trust me people know l will say sumtin lol Mines is rock solid.

The MIDI latency is the same as the audio buffer setting. Even for external MIDI.

I speak for the desktop software, not the standalone machines.

im not getting any noticable latency in standalone with korg monologue controlling mpc live over midi din but akai midi mix over usb feels slower to respond, could be usb port thing?

No lag standalone or software via usb with the Akai MPK mk2.

No lag on standalone here...And I'm rockin the LPK Wireless via bluetooth!!
