Hi guys,
Just got back in the MPC world after a 10 year hiatus! Used to have a 2000 and a 4000 back then. It's been just push, maschine and Toraiz SP16, Cirklon till last week when my MPC Live arrived!
I'm quite impressed with it.... however...... I've noticed:
1. You can't record audio tracks when the Live is synced as a slave device (this eventually lead to a crash as I was trying to record multiple files, then delete them, then start a new project - MPC Live crashed, lost the samples in that session)
2. I can't seem to play aftertouch / modulate pads when in pad performace mode. For example, if I map aftertouch to pitch, it plays and responds to aftertouch as expected in normal program mode, but if I want to take advantage of this using chords or scale mode in Pad Performance mode it does not work - no aftertouch to pitch response at all.
3. As I've seen others mention, lack of pitch response over midi is disappointing too.
That's just a few observations after around 6 hours. Loads of fun so far and lots of potential.
Cheers.
