Lag/latency when sequencing note-on to external modules

Hi!

I'm hoping that I'm doing something wrong here, but I'm seeing a huge (100 millisecond-ish) lag between events in the MPC Live sequencer and external modules and keyboards (various).

I'm hoping that I have something mis-configured, which I can fix. Any ideas? Am on the current 2.03 firmware.

I'm connecting MIDI directly to (for example) a Minitaur. MPC stereo outputs are connected directly to a mixer. Minitaur connected directly to the same mixer.

Same happens if I use the pads to drive external modules. Huge latency.

As i said in the other forum check your sample's alignment in sample edit..

I'm not sure that would explain it.

With no samples running at all, if I hit a pad, there's a very noticeable delay before the external modules are triggering.

Unless sample alignment can be set to trigger early, pushing all other events backwards...?

Edit: reading page 141 of the manual (offset slider), it almost sounds like that is a possibility. I'll start from scratch, with a blank project.

That´s definitely not normal and obviously a flaw of the "MPC"...

So, I've just tried it again with a blank project - and it's now working! I then loaded the project from yesterday and that's working too. The unit must have gotten itself into an odd state.

Yeah P, when l installed 2.0.3 it bugged out. I turned it off and then it was working again. We gotta remember these machines are like computers now. You know how sometimes on your computer you load a program and after its finished it ask you to restart your computer? This is probably just like that.
