can you plug mic direct into MPC Live

Hey guys, this is the first MPC I've owned. Just figured out how to plug my guitar in directly to make custom sounds. Is it possible to directly plug in a mic to work in a similar way? I just don't have a iMac for a couple months so I'm trying to do as much alstandalone as possible. Thanks for your time guys.

For dynamic mics plug it straight away for condenser you need a preamp..

you should be able to 1/4" plug-in just like you did for guitar.

Yeah with all due respect that's bullshirt. Type it into google and get 100 results for businesses trying to sell MPC Lives. Or type it here and ask 100 people that either have the unit, want the unit (and 1 @un****withable).

I just wanted to check in to let everyone know this is now the top result on Google when searching "can you plug a mic into your mpc" which i think is funny given the initial response.
