Just try it, no one talked about down grading because that doesn't make sense to do that when the upgrade is to fix everything. Look around all the positive talk about the upgrade.

Is it possible to downgrade the firmware to 2.03 once this update is done, or is it stuck at 2.05?

Thanks

Hi, 2.05 is an amazing upgrade - can't see any reason to downgrade.

Unless a person were to upgrade their machine during the no-quibble returns period? Might the vendor then refuse to accept the returned machine due to its OS being drastically changed from its original new condition? ...Okay, just fetching my coat.... :P

There is no question that 2.05 is better.

My inquiry can be applicable to the release of say...firmware 2.06 for example ( where there could be some deal breaker bug/issue in the future) and I am under a deadline to complete a project and can't go back to a previous stable version.

The other question I have is in regards to the wifi and bluetooth.

Can the wifi and bluetooth be permanently disabled/turned off?

Abelton Link and hooking up a bluetooth keyboard have lost their appeal to me after overhearing a conversation. (at a dinner party) with a retired professor from M.I.T. Warning of the dangers of long term exposure to low level radiation like wifi.

Ethernet and 5pin din midi cables seem just fine

Fax machines...not so much

And a lot people including myself have had no issues whatsoever since updating. I got my MPC-X last Friday and immediately updated the firmware to 2.0.5. I must say Akai really impressed with all the new features for just a point update.

I was skeptical at first when I first got the X and was even contemplating on shipping it back within the 30 day return period if it did not meet my expectations. That's not the case now. This beast has quickly become the center piece of my studio and I'm having a blast and banging some nice beats (imo ) whenever I use it. I want to say at this early stage since I have had it, I'm about 40% familiar with all the functions. It's only a matter till I'm able to master it all. I'm definitely satisfied with my purchase.

Can anyone else confirm if there was a change to the modulation effects. Flanger, chorus, etc. I get a weird feedback that wasn't there before when using the inputs on my synths.

It could be a lot of things besides the changes, but they weren't like that before. It's really annoying when it sounds great and there's just some static feedback to ruin the sound.
