Okay, I'll bite...Are you talking about the OS on the Live/X hardware, or do you mean is there a Linux version of MPC 2.0 software?

If it's the first one, then Akai will be the only ones who know how to install the OS onto the hardware, option 2- well, there is no option 2, as there is no Linux version of MPC 2.0 software.

If that's what you're asking, I can't help you. Akai would be the best people to help with that question.

Based on the cpu architecture alone, it is obvious that it is running an embedded form of Linux.

I mused on here months ago, based on the FCC pictures -- about possible mods in relation to dumping / replacing nand with larger one, upgrading system memory. All very possible and likely scenarios however having the technical ability to utilize a rework station is out of scope for the common non tech person.

I believe once someone bothers to connect to the serial headers on the main os pcb, it will be possible to dump to a mounted usb device and go from there.
