MPC Live: EQ, Mixing and Lofi

Hello people of zhe akai forums,

I recently bought the Live and really like it so far, but I wanted to ask, is there any way of mixing/eqing stuff on it? Like inbuilt EQ plugins for standalone mode, so I dont need to use the mixer on the PC. I'm mostly making Lofi Hip Hop music and im still trying to figure out how I can make my songs on the MPC Live sound more rugged and crunchier. Bitcrushing FX and vintage mode are great but I need to mix out the highs on the mastertrack, any way to do that? I'm coming from FL Studio and the MPC is something really new for me! My first hardware equipment, I hope you can answer my questions...

One last thing, could you make a composition* like this using the Live only?

And if you have any lofi songs uploaded I would like to ser them! Of course made with the MPC live...

Try both of the parametric eq's. They are labeled as PEQxxx in the effects list. Also don't neglect using the BP or BS filters.

Many of those sounds just appear low-passed, so yeah, you could.

Yes you can mix and EQ on the Live. To get an even more precise mixing endeavor going you can hold shift key down while turning the Data knob this will give precise increments so you can perfprm a btter mix. If you don't hold shift down when you try and tirn the fader up or down it will jump from 1 to 8 or 8 to 15, you don't want that you want to go from 1,2,3,4, etc.

Some really dope filters in the standalone. Choose what you like and go in.

You can arrange a song any way you want, its up to you. Song mode is the key. Get to learn tje functions and you will be good to go.

Also you can get lofi by sampling tired and beat up vinyl.
