keygroup: no retrigger when overlapping

so i made some keygroup programs. one sample for each key over 3 octaves.

now for example if i play a single string sample (note on, no tc) throughout 2 bars. as soon as the sequence starts again at 0 the sample doesn't trigger anymore because of overlapping. i have to manually set the note length to match the sequence.

if i use the same sample in drum mode it cuts off the last note when retriggering at 0 like expected.

am i missing something?

Preferences > Sequencer > Truncate Duration

ok it does work with "to sequence length" if the sample starts at 0.

but the problem remains in all modes if i play the same sample/chord later in the sequence.
the first one stops with the start of the second, but the second one only plays to the end of the first and cuts off.
