Thinking of making the jump from the Ren to the X.

Regarding the internal 2gb ram on the X, has anyone ran into any limitations with sampling? Also, if used in controller mode, is sample time based on the computer's ram? Thanks!

I have the MPC Live. I can record up to 30 minutes of audio into the MPC Live. I think it’s longer in controller mode because the MPC is using the computer’s RAM.

I’m sort of the opposite, I have a touch, studio mk1, and Live. I loved using the touch out of all of them but I really want 16 qlinks. But since qlink edit in sample edit mode seems like it’s never going to come, I’m on the hunt for a REN.

Im good just moved into the new house loving it. Bout to hook up my stu. You know what is. Getting ready for 2018 and that first quarter.

Aww shit, flipping those chips! Renovating my little studio too. After the hurricane, some water got in and made a nasty smell of mold. Tearing down these gypsum walls and putting up cement instead.

I wasn’t fully clear, I need to restate it. In the Live during sample edit you can’t change the start and end qlink knob arrangements. You can rearrange all the qlink knob options except sample start and sample end. Of course this is done deliberately, I’ll definitely get a ren if I can find it cheap enough.

Honestly I have a MPCX sitting in the cart, I don’t want one though.
