Use MPC Live To Play Notes Into Piano Roll

Hi Everyone, I'm new to the MPC Live and I've got it hooked up to MPC 2.0 in FL Studio, I was wondering if there was anyway to record my patterns using the MPC into the FL Piano Roll / Step Sequencer instead of having to record it into MPC 2.0 and exporting it to get it into my project.

Hi, sure you can! The MPC sends MIDI Data to any available DAW. Connect it via USB or MIDI Interface to your PC, select it as MIDI input device in FL and you‘re set. Bests, Christoph.

When I try that in FL it can't control any drums outside of the ones I dropped onto the pads in MPC 2.0. If i don't load the MPC 2.0 plugin it presses random notes which i can't use for the drums. Is there anyway to control what MIDI note its hitting?
