Hi guys,

I am searching for a keyboard for my MPC Live in the standalone mode.

My favorites are the MPK249 or Advanced49.

Is it possible to load the VIP3.0 Instruments in the MPC Live. To use it without Computer?

Greetings

Tobias

I had an advance 49, works real good with the live/x. You can’t load vsts on them but there is a tutorial just posted by mpc tutor to achieve what you want. Check out guitar center, they are dirt cheap there. Paid 175 for mine still with box, sold it for almost 300 on eBay a few months later.

I just got a CME AirKey 49. It's pretty cool, and very light. I wanted a basic 49 key, MIDI(DIN) out keyboard, and basically, there's no such thing, or if there is one, it was comparable in price and much larger than the Air. Bluetooth works great, and I kind of really like the keyboard.

Not much man. Standalone it’s just like any other midi controller. I couldn’t get the arp to work standalone, but you can create custom templates the advance can be powered and used with midi over usb. Pretty cool just having one cord and a pair of headphones for portability.

I went with a key step for the arp and smaller footprint. It’s a puta to sync the arp with the live. Wish the live could do usb midi both ways standalone.
