MPC Live doesnt send midi out in controller mode in Live

Hello friends.
I am really frustrated with issue.
I cannot configure the MPC Live to send MIDI OUT Messages while in CONTROLLER MODE in ABLETON LIVE.
For my weird reasons, i use the mpc live as a sound card at the moment. For this to be done i need to be running the MPC plugin in Ableton.
So, I want the mpc live to trigger my arturia KEYSTEP (which serves as a MIDI TO CV CONVERTER), in order to play with my serge modular.
The MPC Live triggers the keystep when in standalone mode as well as when in controller mode BUT NOT when used with the MPC plugin in ableton.
I suspect 2 scenarios:
1. I am too stupid too understand the MIDI options of the MPC Plugin along with Abletons MIDI Options.
2. BUGZ
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you set the midi ports up while in controller mode?

Yes, the only thing i have figured out is that if you set the ports on -> DAW through the MPC plugin, i can get Ableton to send midi clock through the mpc live in my keystep. this is nice, but its like 50% of what i need it to be doing.
Any other option except "DAW" will have no effect... and this is why it is confusing..

A tab bit confusing for sure lol, ok after you set up the ports in the MPC live plugin in, now ableton should be able to see these midi ports, now in Ableton pref's set up the midi ports to send out midi on what ever channel the keystep is on... And once you get this right save as external midi instrument and you'll never have to worry about it again!!!
