Ive posted this question at Gearslutz and Akai, but havent gotten any response.

I'm trying to transfer midi files from my MPC Live to work on in Logic. Is there a relatively simple way of doing this - is it even possible?

I've tried doing it by having the MPC Live in controller mode as a plugin in Logic. But then the MPC software doesn't want to open projects.

It will as standalone software, but if I try to copy midi data in the MPC software and paste in logic, logic doesn't recognize it as midi.

Just so I'm clear, all I want is the midi files from a several of my MPC projects so I can use them in Logic outside of MPC. :-l

It figures you wouldn't get an answer at both spots.

To transfer the midi from the software don't open it in logic. Make the midi notes in the software and export it out to your desk top then import it into yoyr DAW.

Peace.
