MPC Live Bug? Audio cutting out in song mode... video inside

Howdy!

Lurked on this forum for awhile, and I've benefited greatly from your knowledge around these devices. I'm new to the MPC world (been mostly in the box or with Elektrons), so it's been a god send. I've got an issue I could definitely use your help with. Here's a quick video of the problem: Streamable Video.

Essentially, I have a sequence that plays perfectly on its own, but when it is chained in song mode the audio cuts out one bar before the end. One thing that's not in the video: if I START song mode on the sequence in question it plays just fine. It only cuts out when it follow the prior sequence in song mode.

Any suggestions?

Check to make sure each sequence has the same program/keygroup assigned to each track. For example the correct setup would be the following:

Sequence 1
Track 1 = Drum program
Track 2 = Bass
Track 3 = Horns

Sequence 2
Track 1 = Drum program
Track 2 = Bass
Track 3 = Horns

I took a look, and yes, all my tracks stay the same. I also tried clearing automation, but that didn’t catch the error either. Any other suggestions before I end up in the Akai customer service queue?

Spoke with Akai - excellent customer service btw - and we believe it is a bug related to changing tempos in song mode. If you have issues with audio tracks cutting out in song mode it’s likely a problem caused by having a large tempo change between the pattern losing audio and the pattern chained prior.

Absolutely, tempo changes screw up song mode.
