Hey all
Anyone using the export function in the mpc live?
I don’t have the software, don’t want it.
Do the individual tracks turn out sounding good when exported?
How do midi tracks play out whenever exported?
Does anyone actually use that?
Thx

Yes l use it, its the top reason l bought the Live, other than the sequencer.

Yes the midi tracks sound good. Whatever you put in is what comes out. You put in dirty drums you get dirty drums, you put in clean drums you get clean.

Midi tracks sound great when exported.

The only problem is that, if you export from song mode, when sequences have different BPM, it comes out jacked. Evidently, song mode cannot export to mixdown correctly w/ multiple BPM.

I meant midi tracks as in sequencing external synths.
I just tracked the synths individually into my daw then exported the audio.
Anyone have a better idea how to work that? Seems the best I could come up with.

I'm not getting what you're talking about now. Are you recording midi notes into the Live? Or Audio?

Midi notes, as in a sequencer sequencing external synths!

I track synths and other machines back into Live all standalone. Any track I’ve ever posted here was done that way. I suck at mixing so try to look past that but the sound is there and It’s good to my ears. If you want I can post the examples.

So far the best sounding has been the pioneer sp-16, the synths I’ve used all sounded good but I do effects pedals and filtering with other units. I just hook up a mixer to the sampling input and go from there. I can route my effects, pan, eq etc.

After I finish my track I export as mp3 although I should dump it into a daw for the fine tuning.
