Can't get sound using Yamaha MOXF6 with Akai MPC X

Hi,

I've just purchased an MPC X. All seems to be working well, gradually working my way through the MPC X Bible (which is really good).

However, I am having a small issue with my Yamaha MOXF6 as a connected device.

I am able to use it as a MIDI controller for internal sounds loaded on the MPC X. I can also use it as a live instrument.

However, I would like to use some of the sounds on the MOXF 6 but through MIDI. I don't seem to be able to do this. I set up using a USB Host (Yamaha) to USB (MPC X). I get a signal, and when I record it creates a MIDI pattern. However, there is no sound. I'm not sure what to do (I'm a bit of a novice).

Can anyone help me?

You hve to select midi channel on the midi section on track

Do you mean in the Midi Program? I can’t see anywhere to set midi channel in track.

Midi channel in program is set to 1. Still no sound.

Scratch that - I had my monitor feed turned to main. When I moved it to direct the sound came out.
