I think Akai really need to get with other DAW companies. I don't use Ablive and never will. Live and S1-4 would be a match in heaven.

Avid owns PT it has no parent company to my knowledge. It was Digidesign then became Avid.

In 2004, following a US distribution deal, the Akai Professional Musical Instrument division was acquired by Jack O'Donnell, owner of Numark Industries and Alesis. Numark, including Akai Professional, was acquired in 2012 by inMusic Brands.

Akai has the Ableton Live link all lm asking is to be able to use MPC Live to trigger the pads and instruments in S1-4 and be able to use the knobs seamlessly. To be able to use MTC and MMC.
Abe Live is not owned by inMusic and Akai linked up with them.

Akai has linked up with Output and Sound Iron, so its not impossible to link with other DAWs. That would be a good look for Akai also.

Sounding like midi notes on a VST following notes from some audio recording. I understand some cool shit can happen with this... but it just isn't the thing I would try to be doing. Don't think for a second that I am ruling it out as a tool for you or other people who make music in a way the feature might shine... I am all for new shit to make life easier.. just is not my thing.

Oh l feel you that it wouldn't fit your set. I'm inside the box and the only hardware l have is my MPC Live and my midi keyboard. Now my Roland A30 midi keyboard works and trigger l use it to play keys. Being l have the Live l wanna bang out on those sexy pads when l do my drums. lol

It's the perfect setup and l know there are others using S1-4. The features that S1 has now are insanely ridiculous. Ima work diligently to get that MPC to work.
My midi keyboard is in pristine condition but its an old model but its working, MPC live is basically new it gotta work.

Instead of me doing drums in the MPC live then transferring my drums over to Reason or S1 l can just bang out right thete without any transferring. :smoker:

This isn't just for me but for anyone and it shouldn't be limited to S1.

Cubase has had a chord track for years. Good to see other DAWs catching up. 8)
