Live Performance Similar to a SP 404

Hey guys.

I have a beat set next week and I am going to use the Live. I was thinking of loading beats in 16 different pads within one program.

I was wondering if it is possible to tweak FX in real time similar to the SP 404? If not, how are you guys doing beat sets will full beats?

Yeah you can use the effects in real time. Also each pad can stack up to 4 samples and you can add effects to each layer. I will warn you though, the effects are nowhere near Roland SP status. Kind of docile, but the magic comes in when you layer effects with other effects and filters. I guess Akai made it that way so effects can't cause clipping on the sample itself.

Man, good luck with that. I wouldn't take a risk on exhibiting any of these new mpcs live. I would stick with the solid sp-404, at least you know everything is going to work, nothing is going to slow up, crash or anything.
