Going on my first long trip with my Live. Any recommendations for headphones. Preferably in ear types. I’m currently using Sony MDRXB50 AP which actually work pretty well but I’m not sure they’re optimal for mpc use.

in ear? cmon man, who wants that stuff...

I would use beyerdynamics DT770 or any other model by that company. They make good studio headphones, neutral, clear sound, so you can mix better...

I recommend the ATH-M50x. Over the ear closed back head phones. You can get the velour replaceable ear pads for like $5 from ebay shipped from China. I just oreded some.
If you're on a plane you don't want open back because you will have a lot of noise coming out of those but the ATH-M50x you wont.

I don't recommend in the ear buds for one of the reasons Tinnitus is caused by prolonged loud sounds. Buds are directly in the ear instead of over the ear.

I can see that you already have the Sony's that your happy with, the bad part is studio grade in-ear headphones are costly and your probably better off just taking your sony's or the ear buds your phone came with....
