Make the note stop playing when letting go of the pad

Just started messing around with MPC Live. I've been on the XL2000 for ten years and I simply know how to do stuff by heart, so to say. So I'm not familiar with the terminology which makes it hard to understand the manual, but this is what I wanna do:

For example, if I got a sampled bass note, how do I make the note play only while holding down the pad?

As opposed to the default; note/sample plays in whole until i press another pad.
