Help with Effect on live and X

I know there is different places that you can put effect but i would like to make sure im doing it right.I wanted to know if i put reverb not to push the sound back were would i place it in the effect slot.Same thing goes with pushing the reverb back were would i place it.Pad ,track, send return, i know its not master in the effect slot.Thanks

I would put my reverb/delay fx on a return channel then send pad etc i want to be affected to send 1-4
