Trying to use MPC live as controller in DAW

Hi all.
Anyone knows how to set mpc live as a controller for vst instruments in a daw?, in this case Cubase? I'd like so play groove agent using the MPC LIVE pad, but i can't make it. Mpc live driver are properly installed because i can use the vst plugin and always seems to work. But if i try to play a vst instrument non MIDI signal at all. Any suggestions?

I think you have to go imto midi control mode
